The first colonists wrote home about breakthroughs no one had seen before. Then, one by one, the settlements stopped answering. Their towers still stand under Kestrel's rings, most of them dark, and in the north a column of light burns that no one can explain. No one who carries this world's crystal stays the same.
The fighting is fast and close. Four weapon types, the great axe, the scythe, the dual blades and the staff, each fight like a different discipline. Enemies wind up before they strike, combos run into finishers, a dodge cuts any swing short, and you can change weapons in the middle of a chain. Every weapon is cut from one of the world's crystals, teal Aetherite, violet Vesperite or amber Solvar, and carries its colour into the fight.
Between fights you raise a camp from a landing pad in a bowl of broken ground. A Refinery, a Fabricator and a Forge turn ore into weapons and armour, and the people you win over keep its stations running. The first playable build runs from the crash site to the Breach and goes to Kickstarter backers first.
- 2026-04The story and the world were locked down: the premise, the factions, how power works, and five zones.
- 2026-06Version 0.0.8 added a cancel system, save and load, and progression.
- 2026-09Version 0.0.9, the first build with a start, a goal and an end, went to an outside playtester.
- 2026-10Version 0.1.0, the first build that can be finished: an eleven-step route, a rebuilt interface and effects for each weapon.
